Harness brought in Mad Lighting, NSM Music, OHM, smoke design and fiber optic company from the UK to fulfill the aspirations of their customers.
Harness expanded its range of products introducing Ram audio, Swefog and CSC Audio.
Harness realized the importance of consolidation and focus hence became a major distributor of CSC Audio for Asia and partnered in their endeavor to strengthen its presence in the professional Audio segment. CSC’s first Cubical was opened by harness.
The company consolidated its product range and focused on audio and lighting by bringing in American DJ and Stagetronics into their portfolio.

A pioneer in the pro audio industry, Mr. Lalit Chopra’s entrepreneurial journey began long before the founding of Harness Overseas Pvt. Ltd. An electrical engineer by profession, he, along with a friend, established a successful electric panel manufacturing business in 1983. Just two years later, they demonstrated sharp business acumen by acquiring and turning around a struggling cable manufacturing unit within its very first year.
In 1996, recognizing the immense potential in India’s emerging professional audio market, Mr. Chopra co-founded Harness Overseas Pvt. Ltd. with his long-time friend and partner P. S. Sandhu. Together, they built the company into a respected distribution platform that introduced several renowned international audio and lighting brands to the Indian market.
Driven by a passion for technical excellence, Mr. Chopra strongly believed that success in professional audio required more than distribution—it required deep technical understanding and project expertise. He collaborated with leading engineers in the UK to execute complex audio installations across India and overseas, earning recognition as a trusted veteran in the field.
Over the years, his strategic vision and hands-on experience have helped establish Harness as a key player in India’s professional audio ecosystem. Under his leadership, the company continues to strengthen its role in bringing world-class technologies and solutions to the Indian market while building long-term relationships with global partners.
Mr. P. S. Sandhu has been an integral force behind the growth and development of Harness Overseas Pvt. Ltd. since its inception. A former member associated with the United Nations, Mr. Sandhu, and Mr. Chopra in 1996 got together to establish the company, bringing with him a global perspective and strong leadership that helped shape the foundation of the organization.
